Robotics for Kids

We taught children in groups of two to build a Creator Bot, wire it, and then code it! Using the Arduino IDE, creator bots can drive around, detect distance in front of them, and even record and play audio!

Intro Programming

Using a website called PencilCode, we taught children how to draw a ton of cool artwork using code! Some of them really got into drawing houses, while others preferred making cool shapes using loops. Towards the end, we even showed them a little HTML and CSS to make their very own website!

Game Design in Roblox

Kids today love video games. One of the most popular games is Roblox, and Roblox Studio lets the user create their own minigames within Roblox. Students were able to create their own levels, using drag and drop features as well as programming in LUA, to make a game they could play with their friends!

Game Design in Minecraft

It's no secret that Minecraft is a popular game among kids today, but it has some advanced aspects including engineering with redstone and writing code in command blocks. We helped kids navigate these parts of the game to create amazing worlds of their own! They made custom mobs, items, and built their own levels using them!
